The Chevy SS Sedan is a Performance Sleeper

On the exterior, the Chevrolet SS Sedan looks uninspiring, and rather normal. Sure it looks nice, but on the surface it looks calm and passive. Until you turn the engine on, step on the gas pedal, and hear the thundering V8 roaring in your ears. That’s when you know that this is no mere sedan, it’s an SS.

Awaken The Sleeping Dragon

The Chevy SS comes standard with a 6.2L V8 engine churning out 415 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with Chevrolet’s 6-speed automatic transmission, the SS can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 4.7 seconds. This V8 engine is actually the LS3, the same engine found in the Corvette and Camaro SS. It’s one way to really spice up your daily commute.

On the reverse side of this, the SS Sedan features 4-piston Brembo brakes with 14-inch front rotors, and 14.2-inch rear rotors. The calipers provide increased stiffness to reduce fluid displacement, while the rotors’ design improves cooling and durability. This car is the most athletic, unathletic looking sedan on the market.

What’s New For 2015?

The SS comes with the third-generation of Magnetic Ride Control found in the Camaro ZL1. This gives the SS sedan some road-hugging abilities not found in any other mid-sized sedan on the market. Also new for 2015 is the addition of a 6-speed manual transmission. The new gearbox allows this powerful sedan to respond to your every command.

Top-Notch Tech

The SS is not only Chevy’s first rear-wheel drive sedan in 17 years, it’s also one of our most technologically advanced vehicles. The SS features Automatic Parking Assist to make parallel parking a breeze. It can almost park itself! Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system unites your music, apps, and navigation all into one package. You can interface with it on a large, 8-inch diagonal, high-resolution, color touchscreen. The graphic interface features intuitive functions and a 9-speaker Bose premium audio system.

Don’t forget that this car also features OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity and pairing for up to seven mobile devices, making your car the hottest spot on the block, hands down. The icing on the cake comes with a color driver Head-Up Display (HUD) that features information such as speed, turn-by-turn directions, and keeps you informed without you having to take your eyes off the road.

But The SS Plays It Safe Too…

The SS Sedan provides you with Rear Cross Traffic Alerts that alert you to crossing traffic from behind when in reverse. Side Blind Zone Alert illuminates small LED-lit symbols in the corresponding outside mirror when another vehicle is detected. Lane Departure Warning makes an audible tone when you drift out of your lane without using a turn signal. Forward Collision Alert warns your through the HUD if you are too close to the vehicle ahead. To help you on slippery surfaces, or as a launch control, the SS features the StabiliTrak system featured in the Camaro. In the event of a collision, the SS has eight standard air bags.

If you want to come and take this sweet sedan for a test drive today, we don’t blame you! Just stop on by! We have the largest selection of Chevrolet vehicles on the Southwest side of Houston!
